With a magnificent 25-year experience in the marketing world, Ms. Anuradha Narasimhan has been creating and nurturing brands in varied fields. Reforming the fast-moving consumer goods, lifestyle, and telecom, she has forged a significant identity in branding categories. Currently, being the CMO of Britannia Industries, a well known and trusted food brand in the Indian market, and with a proven track record of serving the Unilever Group, Hutchison Telecom, and the Tata group as an ex-employee, Ms. Anuradha has become a name synonymous with marketing and innovation for marquee brands in India.
Ms. Narasimhan graduated from IIT Bombay as a Civil Engineer in 1990, but later got swayed away to the business ground, for which she then headed to IIM Bangalore to get herself a degree in business administration. After graduating from IIM, there was no stopping for Ms. Narasimhan. She then went on to work with Hutch and won a number of advertising and marketing awards and has also been a pioneer awardee for her work in Britannia’s health brand Nutrichoice. She has since mentored and inspired a number of marketing professionals, significantly women leaders. Enrolled in a doctoral program from Singapore Management University to fulfill her dream of teaching the next generation of marketing professionals, Ms. Narasimhan finely proves that there is no limit to aspirations.
The excursion to IIM not only brought her dreams to fulfillment but also led her to meet her soulmate as she got married to her college mate Ashish Dikshit, who is the CEO of Madura Fashion and Lifestyle.
Being the batch lead for her Silver Jubilee Reunion (SJRU) for the class of 1990, she used the catchphrase “Insti Wapsi” which fascinated a record 168 batchmates who got allied through personal and social networks, and ended with her batch pledging Rs 6.5 crores to the legacy projects at IIT Bombay. Having her perfect leisure in traveling, connecting to people and volunteering for causes, Ms. Narasimhan has served as an exemplar of diligence and determination, both for the IIT-Bombay community and the marketing industry!
